Cowgirl’s Gift

Cowgirl intersected my life at the Jan. 1998 Select Quarter horse sale at the Denver Western Stock Show as a birthday gift.  She has had many physical challenges since then and I was never able to ride her until she was 12 years old.  Nine months prior to our first ride she was kicked in the face by another mare.  This left her with a hole in the left side of her face and sinuses, under the eye.  At the time of her injury, I was overwhelmed with the task at hand.

I chose not to compromise her recovery with drugs but instead to support her with natural healing techniques and positive energy.  Her healing was remarkable and I realized I was given this incredible blessing to learn from her bravery.  I did not look at her as a victim but as the bearer of gifts and inspiration.  I witnessed how the body and spirit can heal if supported and Blessed.  More of Cowgirls story and photos on www.legendtrailhorses.com.
