Beneficence

We were creating a piece to honor the retiring leaders of our community foundation.  I wanted it to represent, wings, hearts and angels.  The artist, Doug Murray, M. D., was inspired by the whales he’d seen on his trip to the New England.  He named this piece Beneficence.  I knew beneficence had to do with giving but when I looked it up the meaning, I was surprised.

Beneficence means actively doing good.  The next year, I named my company Beneficence because I wanted to actively create good, Blessings from the heart, in the world.  And I wanted to support others with the same goal of creating an awareness around giving from a heartfelt place.   www.beneficence.net
