Blessyourheart Alabaster

This piece was created as a gift for my parents several years ago.  I remember telling the artist, I wanted a sculpture that represented love but not in a sappy way.  Beauty with a sense of love.  I had just began creating this website and I was visiting my Mother.  When I went to the kitchen for coffee, I was struck by the sun coming through the Utah alabaster and how much it looked like Blessyourheart.

Beneficence makes a difference

We were creating a piece to honor the retiring leaders of our community foundation.  I wanted it to represent, wings, hearts and angels.  The artist, Dr. Murray, was inspired by the whales he’d seen on his trip to the NE.  He named her Beneficence.  I knew it had to do with goodness but when I looked it up the meaning was more active.  Beneficence means actively doing good.  The next year, I named my company Beneficence because I wanted to actively create good in my world.

Rose Petal Blessing

I chose to Bless the launch of this website and all of us that interact by offering up fresh pink rose petals from the land.  My intent is for the inspiration and fullness of life’s positive energy to surround us all as we move along our paths.  I asked a friend to capture the moment on a uplifting summer’s evening.  It was fitting to be above the water with a gentle breeze to cast the pink petals.  Pink of course, represents our hearts which are forever connected in oneness.

Go For It

I’ve never been above a red tail hawk or any other hawk, for that matter, as it soured through the sky.  To look down on its back, wings and tail was an inspirational site.  I would love to be able to sour through the sky.  I was blessed as I watched her glide effortlessly.  This morning we were riding on the prairie and heard sounds I’ve never heard before.  As we all looked around and then up, two mature golden eagles were diving through the sky, talons hooked.  They landed on the ground and then took off after each other again.  We then notice a third golden above and it began diving toward the other two.  They all looked to be the same size or age but one of them was the outcast.  They locked talons a couple of more times with the third golden in the mix.  I never have and probably never will see this again.   I’ve watched the birds of prey as they moved in on their target.  They don’t hesitate, doubt or shy away.  They go for it.  As humans we are filled with so many questions as we start something new or question the old.  Would of, should of, could of . . . not positive energy needed to approach a new venture.  I’m looking at this website and what’s been created as a new way of offering inspiring words of encouragement.  I’m surrounding the doubt and fear with Blessings.

Focus

I had to laugh; the dog and cat each had its focus opposite the other.  The dog was determined there was a varmint under the hot tub.  The cat was equally determined to spy a bird as it flew overhead to the bird feeder.  Neither was wrong or right but neither caught its prey.  They had fun exploring, which is sometimes what it’s all about . . . creating positive energy and possibilities.  We learn something each time we do something new, which is why I’m posting so much today.  I’d like to get my photos loaded on the front page of this website but there is a glitch.  So bear with me.  I probably won’t catch anything but I’ll learn.

Double Rainbows

I’ve seen more inspirational rainbows since moving to this ranchland.  With a little afternoon moisture, a rainbow follows in the east.  This particular night we were Blessed with two rainbows creating the oneness of colors.  Everything near it was uplifted: vegetation, water, animals and the hillsides.  I always think about my spiritual growth as I absorb and reflect a rainbow.

Cowgirl’s Gift

Cowgirl intersected my life at the Jan. 2008 Select Quarter horse sale at the Denver Western Stock Show as a birthday gift.  She has had many physical challenges since then and I was never able to ride her until she was 12 years old.  Nine months prior to our first ride she was kicked in the face by another mare.  This left her with a hole in the left side of her face and sinuses, under the eye.  At the time of her injury, I was overwhelmed with the task at hand.  I chose not to compromise her recovery with drugs but instead to support her with natural healing techniques and positive energy.  Her healing was remarkable and I realized I was given this incredible blessing to make a difference.  I did not look at her as a victim but as the bearer of gifts and inspiration.  I witnessed how the body and spirit can heal if supported and Blessed.  More of Cowgirls story and photos on www.legendtrailhorses.com.
